The Belvedere will showcase the installation Bruckner: Symphony Nr. 5 B-Dur by American artist Dara Birnbaum (born in 1946) as part of the CARLONE CONTEMPORARY series. The Austrian Ludwig Foundation acquired the artwork for the Belvedere in 2024. The context-specific work, which was developed in Vienna, uses Anton Bruckner's (1824-96) Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major and traces the political in Austrian music history. The composer spent the final year of his life at the Belvedere, and the presentation coincides with his 200th birthday.
