Ettore Spalletti - Parole di colore Magazzino Italian Art
Magazzino Italian Art presents a project dedicated to Ettore Spalletti titled Parole di colore (Words of Color). The project was conceived by Fondazione Ettore Spalletti and Alberto Salvadori in collaboration with architect Alberto Campo Baeza, on the occasion of the opening of the Robert Olnick Pavilion. It features five works by the artist installed inside the most evocative space of the new building: a cube, an architecture permeated by light, where a golden balance is created between shapes, volumes, and color.
“Drawing is a form of thought, of liturgy, of meditation, we can even say of prayer”, says Salvadori. “The cube created by Alberto Campo Baeza for the Robert Olnick Pavilion is a space designed to take us into a psychic and physical dimension, where experience loses its narrative and becomes reality. Here, the work of Ettore Spalletti is a natural and predestined presence. The evolution of architectural matter through the passage of light creates a dimension where the fixed nature of physical space is overcome, continuously generating an experience of otherness, both physical and spiritual, making each hour, each day, unique. Spalletti’s works are the synthesis of all this. They draw nourishment from the light coming through the skylights, in this case from the windows located on the four sides of the cube, on the ceiling and on the floor, thus extending and dispersing pigments throughout the white space, permeated by color and silence.”
