Lawrence Weiner and Hiroshi Sugimoto Shiroiya Hotel
Escape the summer heat by virtually retreating to Maebashi, Japan, for an art-filled experience at the Shiroiya Hotel. The hotel, designed by architect Sou Fujimoto, creates a space where contemporary art and architecture harmoniously co-exist. Artworks showcased include a bold text by Lawrence Weiner, emblazoned on the façade, and a photograph by Hiroshi Sugimoto that hangs on a raw concrete wall above a minimalist front desk.
