Join Holt/Smithson Foundation this Friday for its second season of Friday Films, which kicks off with a special screening of Robert Smithson's film, Spiral Jetty (1970).⁠

This season of Friday Films presents films made by Nancy Holt and Smithson that relate to two solo exhibitions of Smithson’s work: Hypothetical Islands at Marian Goodman Gallery London and Primordial Beginnings at Galerie Marian Goodman. While in person-viewing of these exhibitions is currently suspended in compliance with national mandates in France and the UK, the Foundation will be screening the five films on view in Hypothetical Islands online every weekend throughout the end of the year.⁠

Each film in the program will be made available from 12 pm Mountain Time on Friday through to 12 pm Mountain Time on Monday. A video introduction from individual artists and scholars will be shared on Thursday before the screening.⁠
