Pierre Huyghe - Folklore Centre Pompidou-Metz
Two films by Pierre Huyghe will be screened at Centre Pompidou-Metz, France, as part of the exhibition, Folklore. This exhibition, conceived by the Centre Pompidou-Metz in collaboration with the MuCEM (Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean), recounts the relationships that artists nurture with "folklore," a term fundamentally tied to the immaterial and the oral traditions—(e.g., dialects, proverbs, music, dances, rituals, beliefs, superstitions and fantastic creatures).
Feature films by Huyghe include Streamside Day (2003), as well as The Host and The Cloud (2011).
