A Foucault pendulum created by Gerhard Richter has been installed in the dome of a deconsecrated Catholic church in Münster and is open to the public.

Richter, who attended the inauguration ceremony on Sunday, June 17, 2019 says that he is fascinated by the history of Foucault’s pendulum and has long wanted to create his own. Richter wants his installation to provide a backdrop for concerts, lectures, readings and similar events.
